Leslie Huffman comes to DVB with an extensive background in media relations, newswriting and reporting, publishing, event planning and marketing. Prior to joining the firm Huffman served as Vice President of Communications for the California Restaurant Association headquartered in downtown Sacramento. There she managed the daily operations of the Communications Department and was responsible for the overall branding of the association. Under her direction and supervision the association was awarded with a Magnus Opus Award and SNAP Excel Award for the editorial content, layout and design of a monthly newsletter distributed to more than 70,000 restaurant establishments annually throughout the state.

She was also in charge of media relations and story placement and served as spokesperson. Nearly one thousand press interviews were coordinated under her direction. Articles appeared in the LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, San Diego Union-Tribune, Sacramento Bee, Stockton Record, MSNBC, CNN, Nation's Restaurant News, and Chain Leader Magazine respectfully.

Preceding her work pitching the press, Huffman was a television news anchor, producer and reporter in Chico and San Luis Obispo. She anchored the NBC affiliate morning program, 24Today. During her tenure anchoring and producing the weekday program ratings hit an all time high.

During her undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, she worked as an intern at CNN, Washington D.C. Bureau; The White House, Office of Public Liaison; KCRA TV; KOVR TV; and KFBK News Radio.

Huffman is a graduate of California Polytechnic University , San Luis Obispo and resides in Sacramento with her husband Tom and children McKee and Miya.
