
When Experience Matters.
Stan has represented clients as a lobbyist since 1991. Stan regularly drafts legislation and regulatory documents, and appears before the California State Legislature and various state administrative agencies. His expertise includes, environmental issues, state contract procurement, state budget and finance.
Stan's experience in government includes serving on Pete Wilson's Gubernatorial Transition Team after the 1990 election and as a Legislative Assistant for then Senator Wilson in 1986 in his Washington D.C. office.
Stan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. While at Cal Poly, he was elected President of the Student Body. He is the recipient of awards and honors including the outstanding graduating student from his college. Stan is also a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program which provides two years of extensive training in the areas of communication, economics, government and international studies. While in this program, he had an opportunity to interact with top U.S. officials such as the Vice President, a U.S. Supreme Court Justice and leaders of Congress. He also traveled internationally, where he worked with dignitaries for countries such as China, Iran, Mexico and Uzbekistan.
In addition to his government relations practice, Stan and his wife Nicole co-manage their families' commercial cattle ranching operation in Rancho Murieta, California, and rice farming operation in Yuba City, California. Stan is a board member for the California Cattlemen's Association and Amado, El Dorado and Sacramento Counties Cattlemen's Association. He also serves on several education boards including the Cal Poly College of Agriculture Dean's Advisory Council and the Galt High School Future Farmers of America Advisory Board. Stan is active in philanthropic organizations in Northern California, including the Superior California Easter Seal Society and Boy Scouts of America.
